    Who and where it applies

    Made for the original purchaser.

    The warranty applies to the original purchaser and to single-family residential use applications that have or maintain regulated, climate-controlled environments. Proper care, handling, and installation matter. Failure to maintain or regulate heating, cooling, or humidity may result in product failure or warping and may void the warranty where climate-control misuse, abuse, improper care, or storage is determined.

    Doors5 yearsDoors 42 inches in height or less; the industry standard allows 1/8 inch over 42 inches.
    Hinges, slides & hardware5 yearsUnder normal residential use. Service work after five years is subject to a labour charge.
    Installation & service workmanship1 yearWorkmanship installed or serviced by Old Salt Millwork.

    Care and climate

    The room is part of the work.

    Wood and finished cabinetry respond to their environment. Keep the home’s heating, cooling, and humidity regulated, and follow proper care, handling, and storage practices. This is not an added promise of coverage; it is a condition named in the warranty terms.

    Limits and exclusions

    What the warranty does not cover.

    • Altered cabinets.
    • Natural occurrences and characteristics of wood.
    • Effects directly or indirectly caused by sunlight or artificial light.
    • Extreme temperatures or water contact.
    • Cleaning chemicals.
    • Normal wear and tear.

    Starting a claim

    Keep the original paperwork close.

    Warranty claims can be initiated by contacting your authorized supplier with the original purchase receipt or sales agreement.

    Who does the warranty apply to?

    The warranty is for the original purchaser and applies to single-family residential use applications in regulated, climate-controlled environments.

    How long is the limited cabinet warranty?

    Materials and workmanship, finishes and stains, doors within the stated size allowance, and hinges, slides, and hardware are covered for five years under normal residential use.

    What is covered after five years?

    Service work that occurs after the five-year period is subject to a labour charge. Installation and service workmanship has a separate one-year warranty.

    How do I begin a claim?
